Rick Coe, longtime CEO of Portage Community Bank, to retire July 1

Rick Coe, who directed Portage Community Bank since its beginnings in Ravenna in 1998, retires.

Coe is retiring as CEO on July 1, but will continue to serve on the bank’s board of directors. He will be replaced by Kevin Lewis, who currently serves the bank as president and chief loan officer. Connie Bennett, current Vice President and COO, has been appointed President.

PCB was founded in 1998 with the goal of creating a community bank that would provide residents and businesses of Portage County with personalized service. Under Coe’s leadership, PCB expanded to four locations, including Summit County, accumulated over $ 470 million in assets, achieved record profits, achieved sustained financial success and growth, and provided customers of innovative banking products and services generally associated with large financial institutions.

“I’m retiring after 48 years in the banking industry to spend more time with my family,” Coe said. “I look forward to continuing to be involved in our bank by continuing to serve on the board of directors. With Kevin as CEO and Connie Bennett as President, I have the utmost confidence that we will continue our long tradition of serving as neighbors. neighbors.”

Lewis is a banking veteran with 40 years of industry experience who has served as the bank’s chief loan officer since its inception. Active in the community, Lewis is a member of the Portage Development Board and the Ravenna Joint Economic Development District. A longtime Portage County resident, Lewis lives with his wife, Sue, in Brimfield.

Bennett has 33 years of banking experience and lives in Ravenna with her husband, Brian. Bennett has also worked for the bank since its inception and volunteers with organizations across the community.
